PropertyDrive Frequently Asked Questions                          

My image isn't uploading!

1-  First, make sure the file you are uploading is a JPEG or PDF and is LESS than 4MB.

2-  If you have uploaded your new image and are still seeing the old image, try pressing F5 on your keyboard. On occasion websites will hang on to old images when uploading and a hard refresh with F5 will pull up your new image.

3-  If you want to replace an old file with a new one, you must delete the old one first. For example, to replace Attachment 1, you must first delete what is in that space, and then select Attachment 1 from the drop down before you upload the new file. If you upload a file first (say into Attachment 4) and then delete an earlier file (say Attachment 3), the file will not automatically shift into the earlier file.

I’m not receiving the new listing email or broadcast emails or I want to stop receiving the new listing email/broadcasts.

This can be changed from your Account Preferences. On the left hand side click on Edit Your Account and then the Preferences tab along the top. From here you can choose which emails you would like to receive, if you will be displayed in the Directory or on listings, and if you want to automatically have your properties included in the CIREX guide.
 
 How do I add or delete an agent?

1-  Only company admins are able to delete agents. If you are one, please continue reading. On the left hand side click on Edit Company/Agents then the Agents tab along the top. From here you can change the status of the agent from Active to Withdrawn to remove them.

2-  NOTE -- IF THE AGENT HAS ANY ACTIVE PROPERTIES AND YOU WITHDRAW THEM, THE PROPERTIES THEY ARE LISTED ON WILL BE WITHDRAWN AS WELL. If they are listed as the second agent on the property (co-agent), then the property is okay and will remain PropertyDrive. As a rule of thumb, always check and reassign any properties listed under the agent you are deleting, even if they are listed as a co-agent.

3-  As a company admin you can add an agent from the Edit Company/Agent page under the Agents tab as well. They must have a valid email address to be added as an agent.
 
How do I add a link to my properties in my email signature block?

Click on My Account Home on the left hand side of the screen. Copy the URL under Your Properties or Your Company’s Properties depending on which link you would like. Paste this link into Word (or a similar program) and hit enter. Right click on it and select edit hyperlink. At the top in the Text to Display type in what you would like the hyperlink to say and click okay. You can then copy and past the “pretty” hyperlink into your signature block.
 
My email/ phone number/ address has changed.

To change your information click on Edit Your Account. From here you can change your contact information and password. Your username cannot be changed. You can also add specialties or change preferences.
 
What is the difference between PropertyDrive and CIREX? Why am I getting two invoices?

1-  PropertyDrive and CIREX are two separate local companies working together to get your properties viewed. PropertyDrive is an online listing service for commercial properties. CIREX is a printed guide distribuded throughout the Madison / Dane County area.

2-  PropertyDrive provides the listing information for CIREX. The property listings found in CIREX are chosen to be there by the listing agent.

3-  To list in CIREX it is a separate monthly fee and agents who choose to list in CIREX will be invoiced by both PropertyDrive and CIREX for their listings.

4-  The yearly $75 membership fee is for both PropertyDrive and CIREX, paid once a year to PropertyDrive.

PropertyDrive uses a tiered structure for invoicing properties:
First 4 ads:       $15
Next 5 ads:      $11.25
6+ ads:            $7.50

Example:    ABC Inc. has 12 properties listed on Property Drive.
                 4 x 15        = $60
                 5 x 11.25   = $56.50
                 3 x 7.50     = $22.50
                                  $ 138.75

What is the difference between Reports and Lists?

1-  Custom Report: These are great for presenting information to client. You are given the option to show exactly what information you want including a cover page with logos, contact information, customizable title, map, summary pages, detail pages and the criteria of your search. You also have the option to choose if you would like to save your report.

2-  Quick Report: A Quick report will give you the summary pages, map and detail pages. The only customization allowed on the Quick Report is the order in which the properties are listed. This report is meant to be a "print and run out the door" type of report.

3-  Lists: Lists are just that, lists of properties you are working with for a particular client. You are able to save these without creating a report and modify them at any time. The great thing about lists is that they are a "working report". You can create either a Custom or Quick report from a list.

Searching Frequently Asked Questions                            

What Types of things can I put in the "Location"field?

You can put something as direct as a full address or street name, or as broad as a city. (Results are more consistent if you include a city name
 
How does the "Radius" field work?

This field allows you to map all properties within a certain radius (miles) of the "Location". (Results are most accurate if you include a city/state or zip in the "Location" field.)

 
When I enter "East Washington Ave" in the Location field there are no results. Why not?

We use abbreviations for all street prefixes and suffixes. Try entering "E Washington" to get the desired results. For the best search results , do not include a suffix after the street name. For example, search "Main, Madison" not "Main Street, Madison".
